Chemical Peeling

This widely used procedure is an excellent treatment to rejuvenate the skin, improve skin texture, and improve fine lines and wrinkles as well as reverse sun damage and reduce pigmentation. Peels are also excellent in treating acne, thin skin and sun-spots on hands.
More importantly, the peel stimulates the active, deeper layers of the skin, causing an increase in collagen and elastin production, which improves skin tone and elasticity, and also reduces and evens out pigmentation.

Chemical peeling procedures can vary from very light procedures to deeper peeling. Deeper peels may require a patient to be off work for a week.

Deeper peels (medium-depth) (Medical)

Dr le Grange then performs the medium-depth peel. Exfoliation treatments on day 2,3,5 using gentle enzymes, will help the peeling process.  Immediately after the peel the skin is very red. Over the next 2-3 days it tightens and darkens and peeling occurs within 3 to 4 days.  It is a deeper, very visible peel, revealing newly exposed, soft, beautiful skin. The results are dramatic. Collagen and elastin will continue to form over the next 3 months, firming the skin.

Progressive peels

This is also a treatment option to be done by a doctor. This involves 4-6 peels (using TCA or Glycolic) where the peeling agent used each time is slightly stronger. The peels are done every 2 weeks by Dr le Grange.
